We have an opening for licensed veterinary technicians to join our team. We are seeking applicants that are enthusiastic, experienced, team oriented and willing to continue learning and expanding their knowledge base. Our practice cares for a variety of challenging cases which requires a staff with an advanced knowledge base and skill set. We practice progressive medicine and have numerous advanced diagnostic tools available to diagnose and treat our patients. REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS All the duties of a veterinary assistant Perform physical assessments Provide Treatments to patients, including SQ, IM, and IV injections. Comprehend the mechanism of action for drugs and their potential complications and side effects Calculate dosage of drugs Develop safety protocols for assistants Bandaging and wound care Induce and maintain anesthesia Prepare animals for surgery; assist in surgery if needed by the veterinarian Perform common procedures and laboratory analysis
