Safety Manager - (Hiawatha, IA)

SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER Exciting new opportunity in the Cedar Rapids area for a Safety, Health and Environmental Manager. This position contributes to raising the level of safety to prevent and eliminate injury and illness to employees through inspections, training and input from management. Required responsibilities: •Monitors and implements safety, health and environmental programs established by company policy and makes recommendations to management regarding improvements in work methods to reduce probability of injury and compliance with OSHA regulations. •Leads the accident investigation with employees, managers and Human Resources to ensure the facts of each accident are reported accurately and that the adequate corrective action is taken to prevent a reoccurrence. •Inspects and evaluates the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards to protect employees, customers and the environment.
