EHS Coordinator - (Sanford, NC)

Maintain and promote a safe and healthful work atmosphere for all associates. Ensure compliance to legal and established system requirements.Critical responsibilities - Maintain communications with medical providers as necessary to assist with cost containment under workers pay package, while maintaining confidentiality. - Conduct Internal EHS/ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 audits at other GKN sites. Working hours: M-F 8am - 5pm Skills: Bachelor Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health, Safety, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related position or equivalent background. Min of 7 yrs working background in 1 or more EHS or related position(s). - Lead the plant EHS committee. - Maintain EHS details systems on the GKN Sanford intranet and network. - Manage and maintain Accident Rate Statistics and report results to the management team. - Review and dispose of all materials / chemicals submitted for use within the facility according to internal procedures and legal requirements.
