Hardware Engineer - (Allentown, PA)

Position title: Hardware Engineer Location: Allentown, PA Job details: * Design & develop test sets in support of both component sub assembly and module level testing for transceiver optical module development team * Includes architecture of test system, selecting hardware and software programming Responsibilities: * Design & development of test hardware including specialized optical test equipment * Perform lab measurements on optical devices * Use existing high-speed lab equipment (DCAs, BERT, Pattern Generators, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzer) * Support PCB design / layout / stuffing in support of hardware evaluation (Cadence, Orcad, Allegro) * Work with partners to develop specialized equipment to enable testing and characterization of optical devices * Develop software to automate data gathering to facilitate further device performance analysis * Document results and procedures for presentations to a broader team Requirements / Requirements: * MSEE
