Product Design Engineer - (Shelton, CT)

VISION: Popular durable consumer products: we are looking for a creative engineer for this design and development role in a fast-paced and innovative NPD environment continually turning out new products. Unique opportunity in a well-known manufacturer and distributor of products sold to global consumer markets. This is a highly visible position collaborating closely with marketing/product management, with worldwide product reach. OPPORTUNITY: Center stage role reporting to the Director of R&D, you will be responsible for designing new products and enhancements for existing products. Conduct research, rapid prototyping, and perform testing required for the definition and validation of products. The following activities will be very familiar: design, layout, prototyping, testing, dimensioning, tolerancing. QUALIFICATIONS: BS Mechanical or Materials Engineering. At least 5yrs of product design and development background with parts/devices and mechanisms of moderate complexity.
