DESCRIPTION Grant writer is responsible for writing proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects. Must have expertise to submit timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects. Grant writers are responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundations, and corporate sources. Superior written correspondence abilities; expertise to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals. DUTIES Strong editing skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of fundraising details sources. Background with proposal writing and institutional donors. Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research. Min of 2 years background with grant writing. Background working in deadline-driven environments. Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
