Quality Engineer, Flexible Schedule! - (Effingham, IL)

Peerless of America II, Inc. is a global manufacturing firm headquartered in Effingham, IL. We are looking to add a Quality Engineer to our team to assist us as our customer base grows. The Quality Engineer ensures the quality of the parts produced meet all customer expectations and quickly and effectively takes action when a non-conformance is found. This position helps maintain the Quality System with lean, cost-effective strategies that meet the companys needs. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assists the Quality Manager to maintain the Quality System * Takes active role in training and participates in continuous improvement projects * Acts as the Lead Internal Auditor * Communicates customer qualifications and coordinates with Management, Production, and Engineering to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner * Works with purchasing staff to establish quality qualifications from suppliers * Looks at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
