Per Diem Substitute Teachers The St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center is seeking qualified candidates for Per Diem Substitute Teachers in the Children/Youth Program. Special Education teaching background working with emotionally/behaviorally challenged children and adolescents is advantageous. Must enjoy working with children of all ages and be ready to step into the classroom on short notice, carry out responsibilities of the regular classroom teacher, to include leading instruction and maintaining classroom routines and procedures. Applicants must be NYS Certified Teachers. Preferred certifications include: Elementary K-6, Special Education K-12, Foreign Language, Middle School/Secondary Math, English, Science, or Social Studies.
