Negotiate costs and purchase assigned commodities and services in accordance with defined objectives. Maintain Supplier Scorecards as well as facilitate quarterly/yearly reviews. Call on engineers and suppliers for cost and quality improvements in order to optimize inventory reduction and cost savings. Run MRP daily to order the materials necessary to support production and customer service sales orders. Facilitate and manage continual supply chain improvements. Expedite long lead items as needed to minimize purchase part shortages. Process Return Goods Authorizations and/or Corrective Action Plans as needed. Resolve invoice issues by working with the supplier or internal personnel. Reporting of parts issues and updates in weekly production meetings. Updates Materials Status Spreadsheets weekly for all parts due in house. Manages open order, past due and unconfirmed reports weekly.
