Test Technician - Laboratory & Engineering - (Benton Harbor, MI)

Our West Michigan client is seeking an Engineering Test Technician for quality control testing in a laboratory setting. In this position, you'll gather knowledge through reliability test results and apply that info to analyze problems for root cause. The technician is also responsible for maintaining a effective communication link to the supervisor and related project teammates. Duties: Construct basic test fixtures & load stands as required. Assisting in the design of aluminum (80/20) or steel frames fixtures. Building load stands for attaching large loads to, i.e. motors, heating elements, etc., and setting up outside an environmental chamber. Building test fixtures for attaching electronic control subsystems and small appliance loads to and setting up fixture inside an environmental chamber. Building test harnesses to connect controls to load stands and functionally test/troubleshoot the setup. Setup a data acquisition and/or an OPTO-22 controller system to monitor and regulate power to controls.
