The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the overall labor control, profitability, operating efficiency, safety standards and customer satisfaction for all Housekeeping Operations within Portola Hotel & Spa. You must demonstrate strong working understanding of Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedure's. Portray a professional manner with regard to appearance, behavior, ethics and compliance with policy. Develop employees for future promotion within the Portola Hotel & Spa system. Contributes directly to the departmental profit through effective use of forecast data, proper scheduling, responding to business fluctuations, etc. Control departmental profit potential through adherence to purchasing and requisition procedures, cash and credit policies and overall follow-up to issues that affect profit or loss. As a member of the management team, hold a shared responsibility for the financial success of the hotel.
