Responsible for obtaining all pertinent info needed to set up and complete the account for scheduled hospital services prior to the patient’s arrival. Review, verify and obtain all applicable benefit details from payer by contacting the payers or verify the details using online verification tools. Sets up and/or updates accounts in Epic systems with all pertinent details. Work various reports to establish all pre-admission details, completes pre-certification, notifications when required, and works with Utilization Review when necessary.
