Water Treatment Plant Operator - (Radford, VA)

The NRV Regional Water Authority is seeking candidates to join its organization as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Water Treatment Plant Operator assists in the daily operation of the Water Authority's 12.4 MGD water treatment plant, water plant equipment, associated facilities, preventative maintenance and does related work as required. This is a full-time position that works on a rotating shift which includes nights, weekends, and holidays. The position mandates a high-school graduate or possess a GED, previous background in the operation of water treatment plant machinery or chemical process equipment, possession of a valid Virginia driver's license, be able to wear an air pack (SCBA) and pass an annual safety physical. Water Treatment Plant Operator Class III, Class II, or Class I certification is preferred but not required. Salary commensurate based on background and licensure.
