JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Coordinator of EMS and Emergency Preparedness Services Basic Function: PRACTICE STANDARDS/ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Position description: • Responsible for diversified duties and skills in the planning, coordination and implementation of EMS Administration, EMS Education, Disaster Training and implementation, Continuous Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. To direct and coordinate Medical Resource Hospital responsibilities for all levels of EMS personnel under the Medical Direction of Parkland Medical Center. To represent Parkland Medical Center in all areas of EMS within the local communities as well as regional and National Emergency Medical Service Systems. To guide and implement procedures related to Disaster preparedness and recovery.
