Buyer - (Owatonna, MN)

Responsibilities: Planning and buying purchase goods and services at best negotiated cost/value/lead-time to support the business demands. Minimize inventory ownership and transactions through execution of consignment and visual restocking programs. Work with suppliers, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Sales on continuous improvement in product and process. Respond to product or supplier issues by negotiating the appropriate delivery schedules for purchased goods and services. Ensure inventory and account accuracy through the timely processing of Engineering Change Orders (ECO), debit memorandums, and Material Review Board (MRB) documents; work with other departments to expedite the needed processing. Work with and assist the Commodity Manager in negotiating contracts, pricing issues, terms issues, and day to day issues with suppliers. Develop supplier relationships to ensure favorable terms, desired quality, and 100% on-time delivery.
