Youth Advocate - (Martinez, CA)
Position details: The youth advocate will work with juvenile delinquency attorneys, juvenile clients, and clients' families to provide support for delinquency-involved youth. The responsibilities of the youth advocate will include: Communicating with juvenile clients and family on a regular basis Identifying needs and interests as well as services for the youth in the community Working closely with clients to develop goals for probation and their futures Participating in re-entry meetings with clients, families, attorneys, and probation officers in order to develop transition plans for clients Assisting clients with school re-enrollment, discipline, and special education concerns Establishing relationships with community based organizations Updating each client's attorney on his or her progress in the community Following up with former clients who have completed probation for record sealing Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent background
