Corrections Specialist This particular position involves initiating and completing the booking, receiving and releasing of inmates; and accounting tasks involved in maintenance accurate account of inmate funds at a Sheriff??s Department-Corrections Bureau Facility; and performs other related work as is required. Duties Include: Process a variety of jail and court documents, records, and reports Maintain inmate files by processing details from a variety of jail and court documents, records and reports utilizing CJIS and other computer systems Respond to inmate, official and public inquiries primarily by telephone and in person, concerning inmate??s status and Corrections Facility procedures. Verify identity of persons entering and leaving Corrections Facility Process and verify inmate releases, inform Deputies in the Corrections Facility; and release inmate cash or property in accordance with Corrections Facility procedures
