Drafter - (St Rose, LA)

It is desirable, but not required, if a applicant has prior background in an electric utility environment (Distribution, Transmission or Generation) as familiarity with equipment and materials could shorten their learning curve in understanding the content and requests for preparing new drawings. In the absence of that level utility background, background with drafting in other industries, such as refineries, is acceptable. We are not seeking a person that can design as we have engineers in our department performing that function. I am seeking a person that can transfer an engineers design into an AutoCad drawing. Looking for someone that is self-motivated to work with our engineers in insuring that a drawing captures the intent and qualifications. We have engineers in LA, TX, AR and MS of which emails, phone calls and WebEx/Jabber will be frequent modes of communications.
