Teacher - (St James, MO)

Teacher Job overview: This position is responsible for teaching students the academic and social skills in a private educational system. Teacher will work directly with Therapists, Youth Care staff and adjunctive therapists as a member of the treatment team. External contacts include parents/guardians and school and referral agency personnel. Expected communication includes a discussion of the needs of the child as well as their progress. This position reports to the Director of Special Education or designee. Responsibilities: Maintains students in the classroom. Individualizes instruction so all students background success within the curriculum. Helps students learn and progress based on their academic level and needs. Resolves student and parent issues. Functions within the policies and procedures as outlined in the program manual. Supervises Teacher’s Assistant.
