Senior Boiler Operator - (Snellville, GA)

Responsible for the operations of a bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boiler and coordinates all activities on site during the shift. Oversees system start ups and shut downs; Monitors and adjusts the operation of the boiler, air compressors, cooling tower, turbine, bag house, pumps, valves and aux equipment; Works with integrated controls - programmable logic controls (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), etc.; Understands combustion theory applications and works comfortably with proportional integral derivative (PID) instrument loops and emission control systems; Conducts boiler water chemistry analysis and daily system walk down; Directs and monitors shift team work in accordance with safety and productivity goals; Routine use of Microsoft office suite - Ms word, Microsoft excel, and Power Point; Solid fuel background, boiler certification, and heavy equipment background a plus.
