City of Evansville Job AnnouncementElectric Line Worker The City of Evansville is accepting applications for the position of an Electric Line Worker within the Water & Light Utility. This is a full time position which is responsible for day-to-day operations,maintenance and repair of electrical systems. A journey-level line worker certification under the DWD Electric Line Trade is preferred. Candidates must obtain a journeyman certification. Candidate must have the expertise to perform strenuous physical labor and heavy manual tasks including climbing and working with energized lines. Knowledge of safety rules and great communication abilities are important. Qualifications include a high-school degree or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Must have the expertise to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (valid drivers license) within 6 months of hire. A DMV experience investigation, drug test and a pre-employment physical exam will be required.
