Research Tech - (Sioux Center, IA)

TRANS OVA in Sioux Center, IA Is currently seeking a Research Technician to join our team. This position will develop new technologies and support the cutting-edge research and development program of the company. Responsibilities including aspiration of oocytes from slaughter house derived ovaries, selection of oocytes for maturation, IVF and embryo culture and evaluating different approaches to improve the IVF production as directed by Scientists of the Department. Will also include Biopsy-ing of embryos at different developmental stages, preparation of different media that are regularly used in the Research and Development laboratory, and assisting in all cell culture processes. It is preferred but not required that the applicant have a Masters degree in animal reproduction or a related position. Must be able to sit for long periods of time behind a microscope in a sterile lab setting and have the expertise to work under a laminar flow hood.
