Equipment Mechanic and Groundskeeper - (Springfield, MA)

Equipment Mechanic and Groundskeeper Springfield College invites applications for a full time Equipment Mechanic and Groundskeeper for the Department of Facilities and Campus Services. This position is responsible for the safe, professional, reliable, efficient, environmentally-sound, and cost-effective maintenance of the grounds on the Springfield College campus. Responsibilities for this position include: maintain Grounds vehicles, machinery, turf equipment, heavy equipment, hydraulic equipment, and small engines (both gasoline and diesel) in proper working condition performing all regular maintenance and repairs; perform routine engine maintenance to include but not limited to: checking oil and fluid levels, lubricating parts, replacing spark plugs, testing and inspecting engines for malfunctioning parts; repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts, reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs; sharpening blades of all kinds; keep records of inspections, test results
