Job overview Responsible for providing a high quality, developmentally-appropriate, learning environment that fosters the positive growth and development of preschool children. Position assignments Assist co-teacher in the development and implementation of an age appropriate curriculum that encompasses all developmental domains and meets the requirements of the School Readiness Benchmarks for Children in Preschool Provide a nurturing well-organized environment that supports the intellectual, social-emotional, and individual needs of children while encouraging independence and decision-making. Engage in positive discipline, setting clear expectations and appropriate consequences that support a child's expertise to acquire the skills of self-discipline. Complete observations, recordings, and documentation of the growth and development of children through the established evaluation tool, through anecdotal observations, and portfolio development.
