Position title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Position summary: Performs Shipping and Receiving work for a client in Mooresville, NC. Oversees the receipt, delivery, and storage of materials in the plant. Work is performed under limited supervision with moderate latitude. Position relies on background and exercises independent judgement to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures. Required functions: Coordinates the receipt, delivery, and storage of materials in the plant. Verifies that incoming shipments match Bills of Lading (BOLs, purchase orders, packing slips and certificates, if present, for type and amount. Unpacks and inspects incoming shipments; notifies the Quality Inspector when inspection is needed. Keeps track of and follows up on material shortages and damaged goods received. Ensures all shipments are correct and on time. Maintains receiving and shipping records and keeps database up to date.
