PBX Operator - (Mackinac Island, MI)

Job responsibilities will include handling all incoming and outgoing calls for the Hotel quickly and efficiently in a friendly manner. Employee must punch in and out at appropriate time clock, be in proper uniform and report to PBX Operator Supervisor at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift. Will be responsible for operating a PBX switchboard, using an AT&T System 75 telephone system. Must become familiar with guest room and employee extensions, paging systems, fire alarms and emergency procedures. Track all incoming calls and ensure that each call is connected to the proper extension. Take and deliver ACCURATE messages. Provide caller with correct info and guide them to the proper extension. In case of fire, operator is responsible for informing guests and employees of situation, as well as contacting the proper authorities. Other duties may be assigned.
