Firefighter/EMT - (Dodge City, KS)

The City of Dodge City is accepting applications for the position of firefighter/EMT. Applications will be used to fill vacant positions and to establish an eligibility list for future reference. Starting salary is $12.85 per hour ($37,419 annually) plus City benefits plan, including single/family health insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and KP&F retirement plan. Position responds to alarms and emergency medical calls to protect life and property, trains on and operates fire fighting and emergency response equipment and participates in fire prevention programs. Candidates must be at least 18 yrs of age and must possess a high-school degree or equivalency, valid state drivers license with a good driving history, and Kansas or National Registry EMT certification. NFPA Firefighter I, II and Hazmat operations certifications preferred. Previous background and bi-lingual skills preferred but not required.
