Microbiologist - MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) - Full Time - Day Shift Description The Medical Technologist is responsible for overall daily operations and testing in the laboratory, reviews and maintains quality control and preventative maintenance records, reviews and updates procedure manuals, inventories laboratory supplies, and evaluates new tests and procedures. Receives referred specimens or specimens directly from patients and performs complex qualitative and quantitative analysis. Performs required tests according to established procedures and methodologies. Completes reports for test performed and ensures quality control criteria are met. Documents all quality control and maintains required records to obtain quality testing results. Assists in the evaluation of new or modified techniques when required. Advises and assists in the orientation and training of other personnel on equipment and software as necessary.
