Finance Director - (Kennett Square, PA)

BOROUGH of KENNETT SQUARE FINANCE DIRECTOR The Borough of Kennett Square, Chester County, PA (pop. 6,072), is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Finance Director. Known as the Mushroom Capital, the Borough is located in southeastern PA and is in close proximity to Philadelphia, Delaware and Maryland. The Borough has a thriving business district and is experiencing growth through development and redevelopment. Area features include Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Museum of Art, famous Talulas Table Restaurant and the Brandywine Battlefield. Kennett Square is a full-service Municipality with 34 full time employees and $13 million total annual budget. The Finance Director reports directly to the Borough Manager and is responsible for all financial operations, financial planning, budget preparation, benefit/pension administration, payroll and debt service. A min of 5 (5) years background in a comparable position and a Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or related position required.
