Caregiver Support Team Clinician - (Norwich, CT)

UCFS is seeking a full-time clinician for the Caregiver Support Team (CST). The CST program provides intensive community based clinical services to DCF foster families, with the goal of increasing stability of the placement to prevent disruption. Clinicians conduct assessments, develop measurable, strength-based family goals and interventions, provide community linkages, psychoeducation around trauma, and psychosocial support to the kinship and foster families. Process initial referral with clients and referring agents and begin strength & needs/NCFAS assessments. Complete genograms, eco maps and time lines. Develops a child specific, family focused service plan to include goals regarding specialized parenting skills, demonstration of new knowledge regarding kinship/foster/adoption issues, provider and community support service linkages. Provides therapeutic individual & family oriented interventions related to client’s goals and family’s needs.
