Intake Worker - HEAP POSITION DETAILS: Conducts face-to-face interviews with persons applying for Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program benefits. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Key functions: Completes other related applications to access benefits for the candidate: Percentage of Income Payment Plan and Regular HEAP and Ohio Energy Credits. Conducts face-to-face interviews with candidates for Emergency HEAP assistance, completes all necessary paperwork and secures all necessary documentation of the candidate's eligibility for the program benefits. Explains the E-HEAP program process and benefits to the candidate. Gives the candidate details about other resources in the community and makes referrals as needed. Inputs data from candidate files to the E-HEAP database to complete the determination of eligibility process. Non-Key functions: Performs other related duties as assigned.
