Position title: Line Cook FLSA: Non-Exempt Department: Kitchen General Function: The person in this line cook position is 3rd in command, with the head chef being 1st in command the sous chef being 2nd. Foremost role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in a specific station in a professional kitchen. Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen and trouble-shooting any problems that may arise. Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: Sous Chef; Executive Chef; Kitchen Manager; General Manager; Store Director Direct Reports: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. 2. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
