91G Fire Control Repairer - (Powell, WY)

Electronics systems are an integral component to many of the weapons the Army National Guard deploys. The National Guard relies on the Fire Control Repairer to keep these systems functioning properly. As a Fire Control Repairer, you are responsible for combat vehicle, infantry, and artillery fire control systems and equipment, as well as related test equipment. Responsibilities may also include maintenance and/or repair of ballistic computers, a variety of laser enabled devices, optical equipment, and thermal imaging systems; commander's weapon station/aux sights, aiming circles, image transfer assemblies, quadrants, mount assemblies, and fire control support equipment; test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment; and battlefield damage assessment and repair. The skills you learn as a Fire Control Repairer will help prepare you for a future as an electronic mechanic, an avionics technician, or a missile facilities repairer with civilian firms that design, build, and test weapons for the military.
