Volunteer Coordinator (#2214) - (San Luis Obispo, CA)

Job Description: Position overview: The Volunteer Coordinator works with agency staff and volunteers to ensure processes are in place for the recruitment and placement of volunteers in CAPSLO programs. The Coordinator will be instrumental in presenting volunteer opportunities within the service area(s) of the agency and ensuring timely communication and follow-up. The Coordinator will play a key role in the development of a volunteer services component for the Homeless Services Center. Supports CAPSLO’s mission by ensuring all necessary programs can recruit and utilize volunteers to support the work they do. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Manages the activities related to the ongoing recruitment of volunteers within the communities the agency serves. Works with local agencies, churches, collaboratives, colleges and universities, business colleges, etc. to create a network of volunteer streams.
