Medical Insurance Specialist - This is a Monday - Friday (8 hour shifts), 7+ month position paying $12.00 - $13.00/ per hour Depending on Background. Leafstone Services is seeking one contract Medical Billing/Accounts Receivable for a medical company located in Tonawanda, NY. Position description: Quality Assurance Standards and HIPAA rules must be adhered to at all times Ensures all insurance, demographic, and eligibility info is obtained and entered into the system in an accurate manner Performs insurance verification process on all 3rd party payers. Obtains initial and subsequent pre-authorization for services. Re-verifies benefits and obtains authorization and/or referral after treatment plan has been discussed, prior to initiation of treatment. Ensures appropriate signatures are obtained on all necessary forms. Performs financial counseling process on all patients prior to treatment, which includes patient financial obligations, billing practices and establishing payment arrangements.
