The focus of this persons work will be to perform testing to a defined schedule, therefore flexibility in their work schedule that permits occasionally substituting a week day for weekend day would be desirable. Sets up, operates and maintains laboratory instruments, monitors experiments, makes observations, calculates and records results, and often develops conclusions. Individual is familiar with basic scientific principles and has had some laboratory background. Can follow written direction and maintain a laboratory notebook. Has excellent communication abilities and is computer literate. -Prepare chemical solutions for analytical instrument techniques such as ICP. -Work under limited supervision of chemists or chemical engineers.
