Quality Engineer (Registration Required) - (Kalamazoo, MI)

Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead several key initiatives reporting directly to the Plant Manager. We have a solid customer base and strong potential for growth. Our primary products include gas manifolds, fabricated tubes, gas valves and several other gas related products. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership and proven results in a metal-cutting environment. Responsibilities: Support all shop floor processes, tooling, equipment, and training to insure quality and productivity. Develop new and review existing processes on a part-by-part basis to guarantee conformance to customer expectations and profitability. Generation and maintenance of detailed quality plans for all products. Implement lean manufacturing initiatives including but not limited to 5s, Preventative Maintenance, Quick Change Over, Kanban, and waste elimination. Review quality procedures and policies. Work in concert with our corporate quality manager on customer issues.
