Quality Engineer - (Provo, UT)

Responsibility The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager. Essential responsibilities Responsible for resolving customer issues and assisting the manufacturing group with Quality related initiatives on the production floor. Leads / Assists with continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for assisting the manufacturing group in satisfying plant specific key measures (PPMs, scrap, etc.) as defined by the Quality Manager. Adhere to principles and guidelines of TS16949. Expertise to read, understand and analyze basic engineering prints. GD&T knowledge is necessary. Lead Corrective / Preventive Actions for both external and internal quality concerns. Provide same day initial response and 24-hour containment for any customer issues. Coordinate third party sorting, as necessary. Facilitate and promote use of appropriate issue solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action. Drive corrective action activities resulting from the analysis.
