Asset Protection Specialist - (San Augustine, TX)

POSITION PURPOSE - Conduct investigations to detect and resolve issues of internal and external theft and provides shrink follow up. Provide details for legal issues and appear in court. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Analyzes details and conducts investigations of possible theft / fraud. Collects and reviews P.O.S. register info, computer exception reports, vault activity reports and other related documents. Conducts interviews for internal dishonest activity. Detains and interviews persons apprehended for shoplifting, in accordance with local laws and Company procedures once satisfying all 4 elements of proof. Communicates with Store Management and DLPM on bookkeeping, computer room, special services, receiving, front-end, and RTVs loss exposure. NATURE AND SCOPE - Typically reports to stores with LPM: In stores without LPM: Store Manager & District Loss Prevention Manager. This position has no direct reports. Typically has frequent contacts outside the workgroup.
