The Athletic Trainer: Assists the local high schools, middle schools and college in all sports by providing basic 1st aid, preventative measures to reduce injuries, and treatment of athletic injuries at the schools and game site Works closely with physicians and therapists in the evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries Helps athlete maintain and enhance his/her max performance Serves as educator and/or resource for athlete, athlete's family, coaches, teachers and other individuals involved in the athlete's education to assess, instruct, correct, and/or provide info about physical skills and techniques The Athletic Trainer performs the following critical responsibilities:
