POSITION OVERVIEW Large apartment development/management company is seeking a professional, motivated individual to assist with construction project management and construction purchasing in its corporate office. As part of the construction team, this individual will purchase labor and materials, develop material take offs from blueprints, review building plans and communicate with field superintendents. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Must possess the expertise to interpret construction blueprints Knowledge of residential construction trades and building codes Expertise to communicate with subcontractors, vendors, teammates, inspectors and suppliers Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and well organized Proficient in computer operations, AutoCAD and Microsoft Outlook Knowledgeable in building materials and installation techniques used in residential construction Expertise to work on multiple projects simultaneously Bidding and negotiating with subcontractors
