Family Advocate (424-088) - (Stonington, CT)

To provide direct services to center based families, which includes all qualifications within Family Services, Health Services and Parent Involvement. Maintain required enrollment and average daily attendance figures for assigned caseload. Assist in the recruitment and enrollment process for new families eligible for Head Start. Position starts at $15.00 with an Associate's degree, $16.00 with a Bachelor's degree.Key skills: B.A. Degree in Social Work, Human Development & Family Relations, Psychology, Sociology & Applied Sciences or related position preferred with 1 (1) year related work background; OR Associates Degree in above or related position with 3 (3) years related work background. Must have access to reliable, insured transportation. Obtain a physical exam (statement of good health) with TB test upon hire and updated every 2 years. Obtain and keep 1st Aid and CPR certification current.
