Director of Quality Assurance - (Waitsfield, VT)

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for supporting, directing and maintaining the food safety and quality systems for 4 dairy manufacturing sites. Specific assignments include: 4 direct reports (Plant Quality Managers)and numerous indirect reports hiring, training, evaluating, reviewing Maintaining food safety qualifications as dictated by the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program Monitoring and testing all ingredients and finished products to insure they meet their respective specifications Responsible for conducting regulatory and customer inspections of the facility and keeping related permits and certificates current. Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor s degree or equivalent in microbiology, food science or related science discipline plus at least ten (10) years QA-related experience. Specific qualifications include: A current knowledge of State Department. of Agriculture, USPH, FDA and USDA.
