Part Time/Flexible Adoption Social Worker - (Waterford, CT)

Primary job assignments include providing community based support services to adoptive and foster families and children, as well as biological parents in the process of reunification with their children. Other position assignments may include completing in-home and office interviews with potential adoptive/foster parents, completing in-depth family based assessments using an approved format and make recommendations about approval, and ensuring all families meet state mandated experience investigation criteria. Staff members may be asked to participate in adoptive family recruitment and retention activities. They may also be asked to assist biological parents with making adoption plans for their children.
