Position summary The Production Scientist, Biochemistry is a manufacturing laboratory position involved in the hands-on production of our Biochemical product line.­ The production scientist is responsible for efficient manufacturing of our products while achieving goals relative to safety, quality, delivery and cost.­ This position will often work under the guidance of more senior personnel. ­ Understand safe lab practices, and GLP concept Protein isolation and purification Chromatography (size exclusion, ion exchange, affinity) Understanding of base resin functionality FPLC background helpful Protein modification (Biotinylations, cross linking, conjugations) Lyophilization technology Aseptic handling technique / clean room background Carrier protein conjugations with peptides or fusion proteins Exposure to working with animal serums and ascites Antibody purification / modification background Antibody validation via various functional tests, i.e. WB / IHC / IP / IF / FACS
