Design Draftsman - (Norfolk, NE)

Nucor Steel Nebraska is seeking candidates for the position of Design Draftsman. BASIC FUNCTIONS: The role of the Design Draftsman includes but is not limited to: drafting mechanical machine and architectural drawings, designing industrial equipment, maintaining high standards for drawings and document control, and filing drawings and engineering documents. Communicating with Team members and suppliers to establish qualifications for the project, and to ensure that schedules are met. Working with Team members and contractors to ensure that hazard recognition and safety aspects of every job is considered. Candidates must be willing to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime, and weekends. MIN QUALIFICATIONS : High-school degree PREFERENCES: Actively involved with a safety team and/or cost reduction team Drafting background with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and/or Autodesk Vault 2-year or 4-year degree in a related position Knowledge of the rolling process or melting process and industrial equipment
