Eligibility Examination for Position of Police Officer - (Chambersburg, PA)

ELIGIBILITY EXAMINATION FOR POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER IN THE CHAMBERSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT The purpose of the examination is to develop an eligibility listing for the position of Police Officer in the event of a vacancy. Veterans will be given preference in accordance with law. You must be 18 yrs of age or older, in good physical condition, of good moral character and must pass a written examination and a physical agility test to be placed on the eligibility list. You must be a high-school graduate or have equivalent background or training. You must possess and retain a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and have had a clean driving history for no less than 3 (3) years prior to hire You must reside within fifteen air miles of the Borough of Chambersburg prior to completion of your probationary period and continue within that range thereafter while you are employed.
