Position title: Technician I Location: Christiansburg, VA Duration: four plus months Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. (working hours are flexible) On occasion, a couple of hours may be needed during the weekend OT hours may be possible when needed when supervisor approved Position overview: Conducts standardized laboratory tests, and routine experiments requiring use of well-established procedures and scientific/engineering terminology, but little understanding of principles. Operates standard, though complicated laboratory equipment to yield reliable data or mixes experimental glass formulas reliably and accurately or Converts layout assembly drawings into detailed blueprints. Records data (takes down data) in writing (but does not write up experiments or procedures). Education: HS Diploma Background: 1-2 yrs of relevant background is nice to have, but not a requirement as the group is will to train a applicant to their specific needs
