Skill Training Specialist - (Flagstaff, AZ)

The Skills Training Specialist is responsible for assisting youth in developing skill sets identified by the Child and Family Team, within a Behavioral Health setting. In addition, the Skills Trainer will assist youth in introducing them to community resources, while providing training, support, and transportation based on contracted service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintains contact with youth, collateral persons and agencies to assist youth to develop and maintain life skills and accomplish goals established, as per contracted services. • Supports and reviews goals and service plans. • Provide transportation for youth to group meetings, educational outings and activities. • Plans and facilitates skills based activities. • Provides individual support and services focusing on life skills development, including tutoring, transportation, individual education, and activities. • Develops training and skills development options for STAR program youth.
