Shipping/Receiving Supervisor - (Woodland, CA)

Job description Directs and coordinates activities of the shipping/receiving department(s) in shipping materials and/or receiving products in a world class industrial organization. This position will also be responsible for assuring productivity within assigned span of control, including the direction and management of direct reports, if applicable. Develops and maintains a quality control process within span of control. Duties and Responsibilities • Implement the company’s safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work atmosphere. • Has the primary duty of managing a department and supervises the work of 2 or more subordinates. • Recommend the hiring, firing, discipline, promotion and demotion of employees within span of control. • Effectively communicates departmental and plant wide goals to employees in a productive manner.
